"Personally, I find it disheartening when I hear patients putting off or declining medical aesthetic treatments under the false perception that they merely serve vanity. These treatments extend far beyond merely eliminating wrinkles or attempting to achieve a 'youthful' appearance. Through my own personal experience with aesthetic treatments, and witnessing some of the profound positive impact these treatments have had on my own patients, the transformation in my own perceptions has compelled me to advocate for the broader understanding of aesthetic medicine. The aging process brings subtle changes to our skin and tissues, resulting in misleading expressions such as appearing angry, sad, tired, or irritated. Through targeted interventions, such as skin treatments, relaxing specific muscles and addressing volume loss in certain areas, we can soften these negative expressions, contributing to an overall sense of wellness. My job in medical aesthetics is to help our patients look and feel healthier. By boosting their confidence, we empower them to engage more confidently with others and promote their psychological well-being. With our 'less is more' philosophy, you will definitely still look like you, but a fresher and more confident version." |
